Purchased on 26th March 2006 as largely derelict former paper mill buildings that ceased trading as such in 1981 and left empty, with the exception of two small parts of it.
The journey to salvage the site and rebuild rather than demolish it began with immediate effect. The emphasis being on creating unique “business” space with absolute quality and clean use with the green belt area and to provide a long-term future for a historic building.
Development has seen some demolition of parts to allow access to land locked areas and to create important car parking spaces. Being such a huge single occupied site (55,000ft2) there was a need to create smaller bespoke units within it along with new power, supplies, utilities and mezzanine floors to create office space.
To date around 90% of the development is now complete with work on going to the remaining areas which is anticipated to take another 18 months to complete.
The future of these once derelict buildings is now secure and offers great space for occupiers in both an office environment and boutique business space over two floors.
